Administrative Assistant Campus Police Department – Full-time
Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a full-time Administrative Assistant in the Campus Police Department Office. The Administrative Assistant for the Campus Police Department provides secretarial and clerical support to the department and serves as a liaison between the program/administrative/technical operation and clients. This position works under the department's chain of command which is directed by the Chief of Police. This position is full-time/non-exempt.
Responsibilities:
- Provides secretarial and clerical support to the unit.
- Serves as liaison between the program/administrative/technical operation and clients; determines the nature of client’s business and provides appropriate information and assistance. Refers to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Proofreads and edits documents for content, context, accuracy, and consistency.
- Copies, distributes, and files appropriate letters, memoranda, reports, and other materials.
- Prepares paperwork, sign-in sheets, copies materials for department personnel.
- Utilizes a variety of software to produce documents, spreadsheets, visual aids, and promotional materials.
- Manages databases, reports, and records for departmental enhancements.
- Maintains filing and record-keeping systems.
- Conducts research using a variety of resources to generate reports, solve departmental issues, find new technology solutions.
- Monitor and process Access Control and Alert System Requests (AC/AS) and forms
- Create and update card records in database
- Create badge layout/template
- Obtain and upload image of card holder
- Administration of card holder clearances
- Production and delivery of card holder badge
- Activation of card holder badge upon notification of receipt
- Maintenance of badge making equipment
- Budgeting, ordering, and maintaining office supply inventory and supplies for badging operation
- Provide journals of card holder activity upon request
- Support of internal audit requests
- Support of Electronic Security team
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent *and* Six (6) months of related work experience.
Salary/Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include state holidays, annual leave, and sick leave, State of Georgia Retirement, Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
